For customers
Tempeh is a fermented bean cake. Our shop pack is soy tempeh cubes, vacuum sealed for Rishikesh cafes. The beans are cultured, pressed, then cubed. Chefs slice, marinate, sear, crumble, or steam.
It is dry and firm, a little chewy, with a mild nutty taste. Marinate it if you want more flavour. It holds on the grill better than tofu.

Fermentation breaks the beans down and can support digestion. Unpasteurized tempeh may carry live cultures. It is also a source of prebiotic fibre that feeds good gut bacteria.
Soy tempeh contains isoflavones, plant compounds linked in studies to healthier cholesterol. The calcium in tempeh is well absorbed — useful for guests who skip dairy.
Steam, sauté, bake, or crumble into bowls, wraps, and thalis. Same raw cake, many plates. That is why we sell it uncooked to Rishikesh cafes.
Skip soy tempeh if you have a soy allergy — WhatsApp the Supply Lead for another ferment if we have it that week. People with thyroid concerns sometimes limit soy — ask a doctor if that is you. This page is food information, not medical advice.
